On Tuesday, a group of governors sent a letter to the Democratic and Republican leaders of the Senate, asking them to not even bother holding a vote on the disastrous Graham-Cassidy bill to repeal Obamacare. With a catch:

We ask you to support bipartisan efforts to bring stability and affordability to our insurance markets. Legislation should receive consideration under regular order, including hearings in health committees and input from the appropriate health-related parties. Improvements to our health insurance markets should control costs, stabilize the market, and positively impact coverage and care of millions of Americans, including many who are dealing with mental illness, chronic health problems, and drug addiction.

So what’s the catch? Half of the signatories to that letter are Republicans. (Technically, Alaska Gov. Bill Walker, a lifelong Republican, is an independent — in name only.) But when Republican governors are begging their own party not to destroy Obamacare, you know just how deeply unpopular the effort really is.

Democratic Sen. Brian Schatz of Hawaii had a pretty epic response to a rather odd boast from Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham, one of the authors of the latest GOP bill to repeal Obamacare. Graham bizarrely bragged about supporters of his bill by saying, “I’ve got Alan Greenspan, Jeb Bush, and Steve Bannon. If you can do better than that, call me.” Schatz, on the other hand, has a much more impressive list of those who oppose this dangerous bill:

The good news is that there is a lot you can do to stop the GOP’s new bill from becoming law. The Center for American Progress has a handy toolkit to help you contact senators who really need to hear from you. Check it out, pick up the phone, and make sure they know voters do not want this dreadful bill to pass.

That’s not all you can do, though. With Congress is on another break, and members back at home, constituents have a chance to make their voices heard at town halls around the country. This is your chance to show up, ask questions, and demand answers — especially on the looming health care vote.

In case you missed it, three Democratic members of Congress — Reps. Raul Grijalva of Arizona, Luis Gutierrez of Illinois, and Adriano Espaillat of New York — were arrested Tuesday for protesting outside Trump Towers:

The congressmen are pushing for legislation that would protect DACA recipients, also known as DREAMers.
“We’re taking the necessary steps to make it clear to President Trump, the Republicans and the Democrats that we will continue this peaceful fight for DREAMers and immigrants as long as it takes to enact legislation and put DREAMers in a safe place,” Gutiérrez said in a statement.
Yes, Hillary Clinton is amazing, even on the down low:

Ten months after a gunman opened fire in a D.C. pizza parlor over a debunked conspiracy theory involving 2016 Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton and her campaign chairman, John Podesta, it was revealed that Clinton had quietly supported the pizzeria in the wake of the shooting.

Monday evening, during the first stop of Clinton’s book tour for her new campaign memoir, What Happened, the evening’s host, Lissa Muscatine, co-owner of the popular Washington bookstore Politics and Prose, told the crowd that Clinton and her husband, former President Bill Clinton, had purchased a number of pizzas from Comet Ping Pong and sent them to a local after-school literacy program.

“I told you what was going on and you responded instantly and were so supportive,” recalled Muscatine, whose bookstore is located just down the street from the pizza place. “A few days after that, you and your husband said, ‘What can we do to support Comet?’”
