Newt Gingrich deserved to be humiliated by Megyn Kelly

The Washington Post transcribed the exchange. After Gingrich accused Kelly of being “fascinated with sex,” Kelly was incredulous:

“Me? Really?” she said, laughing.

“Well, that’s what I get out of watching you tonight,” Gingrich said.

KELLY: “You know what, Mr. Speaker, I’m not fascinated by sex. But I am fascinated by the protection of women …”

GINGRICH: “Okay.”

Gingrich then tried to make it about Bill Clinton, but Kelly wasn’t having it:

“Yeah, listen, it’s not about me,” Kelly said. “It’s about the women and men of America. And the poll numbers show us that the women of America, in particular, are very concerned about these allegations and, in large part, believe that they are a real issue. And don’t dismiss the women …”

Gingrich also railed against what he claimed was media bias against Trump, one of the most ludicrous talking points among Trump’s apologists.

Anyone who claims that the national media favor Hillary Clinton need to hit the rewind button on the 2016 election and watch as they have savaged her character, demeaned her supporters, obsessed over her emails for 600 days, and given Trump billions of dollars worth of free exposure.

Several independent studies found that Clinton received by far the most negative coverage of any 2016 candidate.

Pretending that Trump gets worse treatment is a joke. And a pathetic one at that.

And to make matters even worse, a Trump aide threatened Kelly:
