Donald Trump’s un-American rejection of his own intelligence community in favor of that of a foreign adversary has been denounced by veterans’ groups and intelligence experts.

His version of events regarding his conversation with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin was even embarrassingly contradicted by the Kremlin itself.

And now two new notable voices have offered their own takedowns — one explicitly so, and another more subtle but nonetheless damning.

Sally Yates, the former acting attorney general who was fired by Trump after she refused to defend his Muslim travel ban, slammed his “embrace” of Putin and rejection of U.S. intelligence experts.

“Disturbing and shamelessly unpatriotic, on Veterans Day no less,” she noted pointedly.

Despite Trump’s attempts to intimidate her, Yates has never shied away from criticizing his abuses of power.

In an op-ed in The New York Times in July, she called out Trump for “attempting to dismantle the rule of law” with his attacks on his own attorney general, Jeff Sessions.

“While we risk becoming numb to the daily barrage of alarming news, we can’t lose sight of the fact that this is beyond abnormal,” Yates declared. “It’s dangerous.”

Another crucial rebuke, though a less explicit one, came from former FBI Director James Comey.

Comey — who was also fired by Trump for not doing what Trump wanted, this time regarding the Russia investigation — posted a tweet Saturday morning that did not mention Trump by name, but the message was still hard to miss.

Trump’s total disregard for anything in the vicinity of truth and his despicable attacks on the nation and its veterans and intelligence experts have received nothing but condemnation and repudiation.

Apparently, the ostensible commander in chief — a man who once attacked a distinguished veteran and member of Congress as “not a war hero” because he was taken prisoner — is unaware of what it means to observe Veterans Day, or to honor the country he supposedly wished to lead.
