The law requires certain employers to offer 'reasonable accommodations' to employees in the workplace for medical conditions related to the entire period from pregnancy to postpartum recovery.

The Equal Opportunity Employment Commission said Monday that employers can deny religious exemption requests if granting accommodations would impose an ‘undue burden’ on their businesses.
