Republicans in the Tennessee Legislature ignored calls for gun safety laws from the parents of survivors of the mass shooting at the Covenant School in Nashville.

State Reps. Gloria Johnson, Justin Jones and Justin Pearson were accused of ‘disorderly behavior’ for chanting in support of gun safety legislation after a Nashville school shooting left six dead.

At least 100 marches or demonstrations in support of trans people are expected to take place Friday amid increased anti-trans rhetoric and rapid legislation targeting LGBTQ civil rights.
