Wisconsin Democratic Gov. Tony Evers had called the special legislative session for Oct. 4 to discuss establishing a ballot initiative process in the state, which could be used to let residents vote on the state’s abortion law.

13 states so far have enacted “trigger” laws that outlaw most or any abortions, while North Dakota and several other states continue to try enacting similar policies.

Kevin Nicholson told supporters, ‘How about we take every last cent that finds its way in the state of Wisconsin to Planned Parenthood, and we immediately reroute that money to pregnancy crisis centers.’

As of now, 10 states have ‘trigger laws’ that will automatically make abortion illegal if Roe v. Wade is overturned.
