Sen. Bob Casey wipes out anti-immigrant Trump loyalist in Pennsylvania
Far-right fringe Republican Rep. Lou Barletta loses his bid for Senate.
Democratic Sen. Bob Casey cruised to re-election in Pennsylvania, defeating Trump loyalist Republican Rep. Lou Barletta.
Barletta was one of the most anti-immigrant Republican nominees in the entire country, going so far as defending Trump’s family separation policy.
Republicans had hoped to be able to pick up this Senate seat, but Barletta’s extremist rhetoric and close ties to Trump only led to his defeat, giving Casey his third Senate term.
