Trump viciously mocks assault victim even GOP admits is credible

Trump took direct aim at one of the women accusing Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault at a campaign rally on Tuesday night, belittling Dr. Christine Blasey Ford in a deranged attack on victims of sexual assault.

Appearing at a rally in Mississippi, Trump launched his most direct attack yet on Dr. Ford, going after her for not being able to recall specific details about the decades-old incident and mocking her testimony from last week’s Senate Judiciary Committee hearing.

“I had one beer!” Trump said, mimicking Dr. Ford. “How did you get home? I don’t remember. How did you get there? I don’t remember. Where is the place? I don’t remember. How many years ago was it? I don’t know! I don’t know! I don’t know!”

“Upstairs, downstairs where was it? I don’t know,” he continued.

Dr. Ford alleges that Kavanaugh attempted to rape her when they were both in high school. She testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee on Thursday, and her account was so credible that even Republicans couldn’t find fault with it.

But Trump, an admitted sexual predator himself, found fault in Dr. Ford’s testimony, because of course he did. For him, believing sexual assault victims is a dangerous road to go down.

After Dr. Ford appeared before the committee last week, Trump was reportedly “disappointed that neither Kavanaugh nor congressional Republicans [had] been able to put the allegations to rest,” so he took it upon himself to “take the reins of the narrative.”

Apparently part of that narrative includes trying to discredit Dr. Ford’s very credible accusations of sexual assault.

But she isn’t the only one Trump attacked at the rally Tuesday night. At one point, he also falsely claimed that the allegations reported by Kavanaugh’s third accuser, Julie Swetnick, had been proven false.

The FBI is currently investigating the allegations against Kavanaugh after reopening its background investigation on Friday, though the White House reportedly placed constraints on the bureau in an attempt to prevent them fully looking into Kavanaugh’s history.

Apparently, despite Trump’s mocking tone at the rally, he is still too afraid to let the FBI thoroughly investigate the allegations — perhaps because he, too, knows they are credible.
