Trump ignores Trump Tower death to rage at Hillary, Obama, and the media

Hours after a fire at Trump Tower killed one resident and injured six firefighters, Trump took to Twitter and promptly lashed out at Hillary Clinton, President Barack Obama, and the media.

He has not mentioned the man who died in the fire, identified as 67 year-old Todd Brassner, nor the firefighters who were injured while battling the blaze.

Instead, Trump spent Sunday morning live-tweeting Fox News, bashing the Washington Post, and blaming President Obama for the horrific chemical attacks carried out by the Syrian government.

In his first tweet of the morning, Trump quoted Fox News’ Jess Watters, writing, “‘The FBI closed the case on Hillary, which was a rigged investigation. They exonerated her even before they ever interviewed her, they never even put her under oath…..’ and much more. So true Jesse! @WattersWorld.”

Exactly 31 minutes later, Trump fired off his next tweet, continuing his tirade against the Washington Post, which has exposed many of the scandals in his administration.

“The Washington Post is far more fiction than fact,” Trump whined. “Story after story is made up garbage — more like a poorly written novel than good reporting. Always quoting sources (not names), many of which don’t exist. Story on John Kelly isn’t true, just another hit job!”

Trump then turned his attention briefly to his trade war with China before finally commenting on the chemical attacks that killed dozens of civilians Saturday in Syria.

After mentioning that Russia (and Iran) bear responsibility for backing the Assad regime in Syria, Trump lashed out at President Obama and blamed him for the horrific attack carried out by Assad’s Russia-backed forces.

“If President Obama had crossed his stated Red Line In The Sand, the Syrian disaster would have ended long ago! Animal Assad would have been history!” Trump tweeted.

Thus far, Trump has only mentioned the deadly fire in his building once — when he bragged about the fact that the building had not collapsed during the fire.

Trump’s tweets show what he’s think about, and apparently bashing the press and lashing out at his former political opponents are more urgent priorities than offering his condolences to the loved ones of a man who died in the building that bears his name.
