Watch Trump’s favorite Fox News show accidentally call him a dictator

Trump’s fans at Fox News gave him the most appropriate possible introduction when he arrived in Singapore for a summit with North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un.

On Sunday morning’s “Fox & Friends,” Trump’s favorite cable news hosts were covering Trump’s arrival in Singapore with guest commentator and former White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci.

As Trump departed Air Force One, co-host Abby Huntsman interrupted the panel to announce “There is the president of the United States, Donald Trump, about to walk down those stairs, stepping foot in Singapore as we await this historic summit with the North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un.”

“Anthony, talk to us about this moment,” Huntsman said. “This is history. We are living — regardless of what happens in that meeting between the two dictators — what we are seeing right now, this is historic.”

Scaramucci didn’t miss a beat, and agreed with Huntsman.

There is a temptation to view Huntsman’s comment as an accidental slip, but Trump’s dictatorial tendencies are well-documented. He has done everything from threatening to shut down the press, to demanding a military parade in his honor, to praising other brutal despots — to show he has more in common with them than with America’s previous presidents.

Trump even spent the better part of this week announcing that he is above the law, and finished it by walking out on our allies in a huff to impress the North Korean strongman.

Huntsman may not have intended to call Trump a “dictator,” but you wouldn’t know it by the way Trump’s fans support his dictatorial behavior, and his party enables it.
