Trump resorts to swearing at Pelosi on Twitter over impeachment inquiry

Trump stooped to using an expletive when he reacted to a Wednesday press conference where Speaker Nancy Pelosi and House Intelligence Committee Chair Adam Schiff discussed the ongoing House impeachment investigation.

“The Do Nothing Democrats should be focused on building up our Country, not wasting everyone’s time and energy on BULLSHIT, which is what they have been doing ever since I got overwhelmingly elected in 2016, 223-306,” Trump wrote on Twitter. “Get a better candidate this time, you’ll need it!” While Trump is in the White House, he lost the popular vote in 2016 by nearly 3 million votes.

Pelosi (D-CA) started the press conference discussing a House bill aimed at lowering prescription drug costs for Americans across the country, reiterating her hope that Donald Trump would support such an effort. It is unclear if Trump was referring to that bill or any of the nearly 400 pieces of legislation passed by the House so far this year when he leveled his “Do Nothing” attack on the House.

It seems clear that Trump’s expletive was aimed at the ongoing impeachment inquiry, which is being jointly led by several House committees, including the House Intelligence Committee. Trump’s outburst came the same day Congress threatened the White House with a subpoena for documents related to the latest Ukraine scandal.

A whistleblower complaint and documents already released by the White House have provided strong evidence that Trump solicited election interference from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on a July 25 phone call between the two leaders. Trump wanted Zelensky to open an investigation into former Vice President Joe Biden regarding false allegations Biden sought to have a corrupt Ukrainian prosecutor removed to help his son, Hunter Biden.

Since the whistleblower allegations emerged, Trump has demanded the whistleblower be executed for treason and suggested Schiff be arrested for treason.

In the past, Trump has complained about obscene language used by adversaries. In July, he attacked “Radical Left Congresswomen” for the “foul language they have used, and the terrible things they have said.” In August, Trump attacked “disgusting and foul mouthed Omarosa,” a former contestant on the Apprentice and one of Trump’s former White House advisers.

In 2016, Trump attacked late Sen. John McCain as “very foul mouthed.”

This is not Trump’s first time using foul language. In the past, Trump bragged about his sexual assaults of women, claiming he would grab women “by the pussy” without their consent.

At a July North Carolina campaign rally, Trump upset evangelicals by saying, “They’ll be hit so goddamn hard” when describing military strikes against ISIS.

Now that Trump is faced with an impeachment inquiry he is powerless to stop, he once again resorted to profanity.
