GOP senator outs Trump as volatile liar, dares other Republicans to do same
Sen. Bob Corker (R-TN) let loose on Donald Trump in a jaw-dropping interview Sunday evening, just hours after he referred to the White House as an “adult day care.” Corker told the New York Times that Trump is treating the presidency like “a reality show” and that he acts “like he’s doing ‘The Apprentice’ or something.” […]

Corker told the New York Times that Trump is treating the presidency like “a reality show” and that he acts “like he’s doing ‘The Apprentice’ or something.”
“He concerns me,” Corker said. “He would have to concern anyone who cares about our nation.”
The GOP senator’s comments come after Trump unleashed a series of tweets in which he accused Corker of “begging” the president to endorse him for re-election in Tennessee.
Corker fired back at Trump with a tweet of his own, writing: “It’s a shame the White House has become an adult day care center. Someone obviously missed their shift this morning.”
But Corker didn’t stop there.
Speaking to the New York Times, the senator said he believes Trump is dangerous and can’t be trusted to make decisions on his own.
“I know for a fact that every single day at the White House, it’s a situation of trying to contain him,” Corker said, warning that Trump’s recklessness could lead the country “on the path to World War III.”
Corker all but invited other GOP senators to join in, telling the New York Times that his concerns were shared by nearly every other Republican in the Senate.
“Look, except for a few people, the vast majority of our caucus understands what we’re dealing with here,” he said, adding that “of course they understand the volatility that we’re dealing with and the tremendous amount of work that it takes by people around him to keep him in the middle of the road.”
The interview offered a rare and honest glimpse into how Republicans view the president — and it’s not in a positive light. The temper tantrum following this interview may be one for the record books.
