Woodward has tapes that prove Trump aides think he's an 'idiot'

The White House is once gain under siege from a tell-all book that depicts Trump as a madman.

And this tome is reportedly backed up by hundreds of hours of tape-recorded interviews with Trump aides, conducted by Bob Woodward, one of the most famous Washington, D.C., journalists of his generation.

Woodward’s “Fear: Trump in the White House” presents a devastating portrait of a paranoid and isolated president who remains utterly clueless about the responsibilities of his office.

For now, the Woodward book is driving Trump to distraction. Between Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday morning, he posted nine straight tweets about the new book, which hits stores on September 11.

“Isn’t it a shame that someone can write an article or book, totally make up stories and form a picture of a person that is literally the exact opposite of the fact, and get away with it without retribution or cost,” Trump whined. “Don’t know why Washington politicians don’t change libel laws?”

Unfortunately for Trump, stopping the book may prove to be nearly impossible.

“President Trump is livid at the betrayal and stunning allegations in Bob Woodward’s forthcoming “Fear,” but limited in his ability to fight back because most of the interviews were caught on hundreds of hours of tape,” Axios reports.

The book provides a stunning insider view of a completely dysfunctional White House where top aides such as Kelly, Secretary of Defense James Mattis, and former top economic adviser Gary Cohn often circumvented the president’s will in order to avoid national calamities.

“The operations of the Oval Office and White House were less the Art of the Deal and more often the Unraveling of the Deal,” Woodward writes. “The unraveling was often right before your eyes, a Trump rally on continuous loop. There was no way not to look.”

Aides alternately describe Trump as “unhinged” “moron,” an “idiot,” and a “fucking “liar” with the intellectual capacity of a “fifth or sixth grader.”

And these are the people who work for him.

“I don’t even know why any of us are here,” chief of staff John Kelly reportedly vented to staffers. “This is the worst job I’ve ever had.”

This comes just one month after former aide Omarosa Manigault Newman published her own damning account of working for the Trump White House, revealing that she had secretly recorded Trump’s chief of staff, John Kelly, firing her in the Situation Room.

Trump soon lashed out, calling one of his former black adviser a “dog” and a “crazed, lowlife.”

Once again with the headline-making Woodward book, Trump is viewed with utter contempt by many who work with him on a daily basis.

No wonder he’s fuming.
