Trump silent about video played at his resort that shows him slaughtering people

A video of Trump violently murdering perceived enemies, including movements like Black Lives Matter and various media entities, was shown at pro-Trump event hosted at one of his resorts over the weekend.

So far, Trump has refused to address the video himself, relying on White House statements to convey vague condemnations.

The video, first reported by the New York Times, shows Trump using a gun, knife, and other weapons to murder dozens of people with the logos of various organizations superimposed over their faces, inside a church.

The original footage was clipped from the 2014 action film “Kingsman: The Secret Service,” and features one of the main characters fighting off parishioners who’ve been secretly triggered by a device to become violent. The edited clip was shared to YouTube in 2018, according to the Washington Post, by an account that has posted other similarly violent videos.

The account has notably been linked to a meme-maker from a site called “MemeWorld,” which was created by social media user Carpe Donktum. Carpe Donktum “scored an Oval Office meeting in July with Trump, who reportedly welcomed him as a ‘genius,'” the Post reported.

In the video posted this past weekend, Trump kills all the Republican and Democratic presidential nominees from 2008 through 2016 (John McCain, Barack Obama, Mitt Romney, and Hillary Clinton). He also shoots or murders various media organizations, including CNN, Politico, Vox, CBS, HuffPost, and PBS.

Others killed in the video include Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA), actress Rosie O’Donnell, and comedian Kathy Griffin. He is also shown killing a person with a Black Lives Matter sign superimposed on their face. At the end of the rampage, Trump stands alone near the altar of the church as the DJ Khaled song “All I Do Is Win” plays in the background.

The video was shown at an American Priority event at the Trump National Doral golf resort in Miami last week. Several high-profile Trump supporters, including his son, Donald Trump Jr., and former White House spokesperson Sarah Sanders, were scheduled to speak at the three-day event, according to the Times.

Trump himself has not publicly commented on the gruesome video.

White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham tweeted a statement Monday morning, saying Trump had not seen the video. “[H]e will see it shortly, but based upon everything he has heard, he strongly condemns this video,” she said.

Trump’s silence on the video contrasts with his previous condemnations of violent video games, which he has blamed for causing mass shootings.

Following a pair of mass shootings in El Paso and Dayton, Ohio, earlier this year, Trump said it was “too easy today for troubled youth to surround themselves with a culture that celebrates violence.”

“We must stop the glorification of violence in our society,” he said in early August, adding, “this includes the gruesome and grisly video games that are now commonplace.”

One of the figures killed by the fictional Trump in the video shared over the weekend, Kathy Griffin, has also faced Trump’s wrath in the past.

When Griffin was photographed in 2017 holding a mask meant to look like Trump’s severed head, Trump and his supporters chastised the comedian.

“Kathy Griffin should be ashamed of herself,” Trump tweeted about the gory photo. “My children, especially my 11 year old son, Barron, are having a hard time with this. Sick!”
