Fox host gets fact-checked live for claiming Trump is 'alleged' cheater

The truth invaded Trump’s favorite propaganda show Tuesday morning when a “Fox & Friends” guest pointed out that Trump has cheated on at least two of his three wives.

During a panel segment with RNC spokesperson Kayleigh McEnany and Democratic strategist Jessica Tarlov, host Ainsley Earhardt noted that Trump’s approval rating has not suffered during the intense coverage of the Stormy Daniels scandal. Daniels recently went public with details about her affair with Trump after Trump’s attorney paid her hush money right before the 2016 election.

“Clearly, the American voter either doesn’t believe it, or they don’t care about that issue,” Earhardt said.

“We talked about this last week. the American voter doesn’t care anymore that the president of the United States of America is a cheater,” Tarlov said. “What they may care about is the fact that he paid—”

“Alleged,” Earhardt interrupted. “Alleged.”

“Well, no,” Tarlov responded. “We know he cheated on his first two wives. We don’t know about Melania at this point. We just have the word of Karen McDougal and Stormy Daniels at this point.”

Both women have come forward to say they had affairs with Trump early in his marriage to Melania. Daniels’ attorney has also said at least half a dozen more women had affairs with Trump as well.

“They don’t care about that necessarily,” Tarlov continued. “They might care about hush money. They might care about intimidation.”

McEnany and Earhardt were forced to blink silently for the remainder of Tarlov’s comments because Trump is, in fact, a confirmed cheater with his first two wives, Ivana Trump and Marla Maples.

The Fox segment was prompted by Trump’s recent boast about his approval ratings and how much his many scandals are hurting him. Even after gaining slightly over the past several weeks, his approval rating remains at a dismal 39 percent in Gallup’s tracking poll — certainly nothing to brag about. Trump’s immorality and corruption have been priced into those numbers for a long time. Americans who care about these issues already disapprove.

Trump is known to spend his mornings watching “Fox & Friends,” so there’s every chance he got to see his infidelity called out in real time. Chances are, though, he won’t be tweeting along about this segment.
