Sarah Sanders desperately ducks porn star questions after major meltdown

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders quickly cut off questions about Trump’s dealings with porn star Stormy Daniels during Friday’s daily briefing. It was an obvious dodge following her catastrophic performance the last time she was asked about Trump’s affair and alleged payoff.

American Urban Radio Networks correspondent April Ryan asked Sanders if Trump had contact with Daniels, inquiring if they exchanged texts or emails. A visibly upset Sanders said she had no further information, and stated, “We’ve addressed this extensively.”

In fact, the Trump administration has been extremely tight-lipped about the alleged affair and a Trump lawyer’s hush money payment of $130,000 to Daniels on the eve of the election.

NBC’s Hallie Jackson tried to get more answers out of Sanders, asking if Trump remembers speaking to his lawyer Michael Cohen about the arbitration agreement with Daniels, which Sanders previously acknowledged.

But Sanders punted again — perhaps because Trump is reportedly angry that she acknowledged his interactions with Daniels at all. “I’ve addressed this extensively, I don’t have anything else to add,” she said.

The story is unlikely to disappear the way the White House wants it to, as reporters have noted.

Daniels is suing Trump and has argued she should be free to discuss the details of her purported affair with him while he was newly married to his wife, Melania.

Previously, Trump and his administration have claimed that he didn’t know about the six-figure payoff.

Mike Pence, who led the early defense against the allegations and claimed stories about the relationship were “baseless,” has now gone silent.

They want the story to go away. Sanders tried to short circuit it. But none of it is working.
