The Internet has exploded in response to the insane remarks by Donald Trump’s new White House communications director, Anthony Scaramucci, which were full of extremely graphic and vulgar language directed at other members of the Trump administration.
Reeling from the embarrassment and desperate to do damage control, the White House sent press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders to discuss the matter on Fox News, where she downplayed the incident in the most understated terms imaginable:
.@SarahHuckabee on @Scaramucci remarks: He’s very passionate about @POTUS…He may have let that get the best of him https://t.co/Rz55jDxzun pic.twitter.com/ZOFrIb3L1P

SANDERS: Look, I think Anthony put out a statement here just moments ago and stated that, you know, this is a guy who sometimes uses colorful and, in many circles, probably not appropriate language, and he’s very passionate about the president, the president’s agenda, and I think he may have let that get the best of him in that conversation.
Apparently it is because of his “passion” for Trump that Scaramucci called White House chief of staff Reince Priebus “a fucking paranoid schizophrenic” who “cock-blocked [me] for six months,” said the FBI and the Department of Justice can “go fuck themselves,” and proclaimed “I’m not Steve Bannon, I’m not trying to suck my own cock.”
Scaramucci took to Twitter and defended himself with very similar language:
I sometimes use colorful language. I will refrain in this arena but not give up the passionate fight for @realDonaldTrump's agenda. #MAGA

It is worth pointing out that Team Trump has a history of trivializing outrageous, disgusting remarks in the political arena. After the release of the “Access Hollywood” interview, in which Trump bragged about grabbing women’s genitals without consent, he and his surrogates waved it away as “locker-room banter.”
Scaramucci’s depraved rant reveals that White House officials are at each other’s throats. But Sanders’ sycophantic defense proves that they are all still held together by their unthinking, blind loyalty to Trump.
