Joe Biden tells the truth about President Obama

The former and far superior vice president, Joe Biden, has been making the rounds on TV lately. He stopped by ABC’s “The View,” where he showed his trademark compassion for Sen. John McCain’s daughter, Meghan McCain, when she asked him through his tears how to cope with a family member battling cancer. It was a deeply moving moment.

Biden also visited “CBS This Morning,” where he talked about everyone’s favorite president, Barack Obama.

“I served with eight president,” Biden said, “and I got to know four of them very well. I’ve never met any president that has more character, more integrity and more backbone than this guy does. It was an honor serving with him.”

Minnesota will be represented by two Democratic women in the Senate

The announcement earlier this month that Al Franken is resigning from the Senate is not the cheeriest news, but there’s a great silver lining: more women.

On Wednesday, Minnesota Gov. Mark Dayton announced his appointment of Tina Smith, currently the state’s lieutenant governor, to take Franken’s place.

“Tina Smith is a person of the highest integrity and ability,” Dayton said. “There is no one I trust more to assume the responsibilities of this important office. I know that she will be a  superb senator, representing the best interests of our state and our citizens.”

Smith will join the state’s senior senator, Amy Klobuchar, making Minnesota the fourth state to be represented by two women in the Senate, along with California, Washington, and New Hampshire.

Just 46 more to go!

Watch Chuck Schumer humiliate Mitch McConnell on the Senate floor — with his own words

After Democrat Doug Jones beat alleged child molester Roy Moore in the Alabama Senate race Tuesday, Republicans became that much more desperate to ram through their tax hike on the middle class before their slim Senate majority gets even slimmer.

Democrats called on Republicans to hit the pause button and wait for the new senator from Alabama to be seated. After all, as Sen. Chuck Schumer pointed out Wednesday, it’s exactly what Democrats were expected to do in 2010, after Scott Brown won the special election in Massachusetts.

And you know who called on Democrats to pause their health care legislation until Brown was seated? That’s right, McConnell himself.

ACTION ALERT: Stop the GOP tax scam

With Republicans rushing to vote on their tax scam next week, now is the to make sure all members of Congress know the American people aren’t with them. Indivisible has an easy-to-use tool so you can call your senators, and then every other senator who’s on the fence and needs to know what a mistake it would be for them to vote for this monstrosity.

Shareblue Media has teamed up with SiriusXM Progress

This is some very exciting news for people who enjoy progressive online news and progressive radio. Starting this Saturday, the weekly show “Signal Boost,” on channel 127, will feature reporters and stories from Shareblue.

The show was started by our very own executive editor, Jess McIntosh, and her partner in crime from the Hillary campaign, Zerlina Maxwell, who is now the station’s director of progressive programming.

“SiriusXM Progress is home to some of the most important voices in our movement right now, so a collaboration is an especially exciting opportunity for Shareblue Media as we continue to grow at breakneck speed,” said Jess McIntosh, Executive Editor, Shareblue Media. “The hosts’ thoughtful and resonant commentary complements the vital role that Shareblue Media plays with our original political reporting. We’re thrilled to bring these important communities together to stand up for our American values, cut through the noise with honesty and optimism, and provide unapologetically progressive content to embolden the resistance.”

Tune in Saturdays, at 10 a.m. ET.
