Fox News contributor Tomi Lahren made the mistake of launching a petty, partisan attack in the immediate wake of America’s latest mass murder.

Her callous tweet was then quickly and thoroughly destroyed by at least two students from Parkland, Florida, who say they suffered through the massacre.

Lahren got dunked on after she tweeted a heartless jibe, while the Florida community was still reeling from the killing spree.

The Fox talker was simply pushing years-old, vapid NRA spin about how it’s supposedly not OK to talk about gun violence in the wake of horrific gun violence.

But this time, two students from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School responded with full force:

And:

In the wake of the tragic mass killing, which claimed 17 lives, local Florida students in particular have been stepping up and speaking truth to right-wing power.

Using a variety of media platforms, they’ve been calling out the NRA, calling out Trump and calling out dishonest commentators like the ones at Fox News.

They refuse to be passive observers and let others dictate the storyline.

“What we really need is action. Because we can say, ‘Yes, we’re going to do all these things — thoughts and prayers.’ What we need more than that is action,” student David Hogg told CNN on Wednesday. “We need to step out of it and take a look back and realize there is something seriously wrong here. And some of our policymakers need to look in the mirror and take some action.”

Parkland students aren’t letting this tragic story be overtaken by Fox News spin.
