Kavanaugh was 'loud, obnoxious drunk' in school, according to ... him
More holes have appeared in Kavanaugh’s cover story about his past.
One day after it was revealed that “choir boy” Brett Kavanaugh was involved in a booze-fueled barroom melee in college, comes news that he also bragged about him and his buddies being “loud, obnoxious drunks” while in high school.
In a letter to his pals in advance of Beach Week in Ocean City, Maryland, during his senior year, Kavanaugh wrote they should “warn the neighbors that we’re loud, obnoxious drunks with prolific pukers among us,” the New York Times reports.
Addressing possible guests to the beach condo he added, “I think we are unanimous that any girls we can beg to stay there are welcomed with open ….”
The newly uncovered details carry significance because they come after Dr. Christine Blasey Ford vividly detailed her allegations that Kavanaugh had sexually assaulted her in high school.
Ford claims Kavanaugh was drunk the night he attacked her.
They also come after Kavanaugh has repeatedly denied having problems with drinking, or ever forgetting events that occurred while he was drunk.
In a bout of attempted damage control last week, Kavanaugh appeared on Fox News and stressed that he spent most of time growing up studying hard.
That portrayal angered his former college classmates, who knew better. “He’s trying to paint himself as some kind of choir boy,” Lynne Brookes told the Washington Post. “You can’t lie your way onto the Supreme Court.”
Deborah Ramirez, another college classmate of Kavanaugh’s, has also accused him of sexually assaulting her. She says Kavanaugh was drunk at the time.
Now, more details are emerging about Kavanaugh’s beer-soaked high school days.
“Four Georgetown Prep classmates said they saw Judge Kavanaugh and his friends partake in binge-drinking rituals many weekends in which other partygoers saw them inebriated, even having difficulty standing,” the Times reports.
Classmates recall the drinking goal of Kavanaugh and his buddies was to empty 100 kegs of beer during a single academic year at Georgetown Prep.
In a 2005 memoir, Kavanaugh’s good friend Mark Judge wrote their high school was, “positively swimming in alcohol, and my class partied with gusto — often right under the noses of our teachers.”
For Kavanaugh, the aggressive drinking continued at Yale.
“On many occasions I heard Brett slur his words and saw him staggering from alcohol consumption, not all of which was beer,” former classmate and friend Chad Ludington recently recalled. “When Brett got drunk, he was often belligerent and aggressive.”
Kavanaugh’s clearly having trouble rewriting his past.
