Trump's tabloid crony shamefully fabricates disgusting smear attacking Malia Obama
The cover of the most current issue of the trashy Globe supermarket tabloid features a completely fabricated smear attacking Malia Obama, the teenage daughter of President Barack Obama. The headline screams “Malia Obama Questioned In FBI Probe,” and describes the made-up event as “Barack & Michelle’s Worst Nightmare.” The story represents a dangerous new phase […]

The headline screams “Malia Obama Questioned In FBI Probe,” and describes the made-up event as “Barack & Michelle’s Worst Nightmare.”

The story represents a dangerous new phase in the pro-Trump media’s ongoing war on the American public, and an indicator of how depraved the conservative media is willing to be in defense of Trump’s unpopular presidency.
In actuality, the true story behind the headline and cover image is a thinly-sourced wish from someone about an FBI probe.
But that did not prevent American Media, the company behind the Globe, from pushing the deceptive cover to thousands of supermarket checkout aisles across the country.
David J. Pecker, the CEO of American Media, is a staunch Trump ally. He has used his publications, which also include the National Enquirer, as a platform to do Trump’s dirty work for him.
Under Pecker, the supermarket tabloids have become the print wing of the pro-Trump media world. They work alongside Fox News (cable/satellite TV), Sinclair (local TV), Breitbart (online), and radio shows like Sean Hannity‘s and Rush Limbaugh‘s to boost Trump while trying to tear down his supposed enemies.
Including their children, like Malia.
A former employee of the Enquirer explains the devotion Pecker has for Trump, telling the New Yorker, “David thought Donald walked on water.”
Pecker used Trump’s private plane to fly to Florida. The insider revealed, “Donald treated David like a little puppy. Donald liked being flattered, and David thought Donald was the king. Both have similar management styles, similar attitudes, starting with absolute superiority over anybody else.”
Despite the tabloid’s lifeblood of celebrity scandal and coverage, the insider says that negative stories about Trump were constantly spiked before publication at Pecker’s magazines.
Instead, they trafficked in pro-Trump pieces and stories attacking those seen as a threat to Trump.
The Enquirer was one of only two media outlets that endorsed Trump’s campaign during the presidential primaries. The other was owned by his son-in-law, Jared Kushner.
It was also the Enquirer that published a cover attacking Ted Cruz’s father as having a role in the assassination of John F. Kennedy.
And MSNBC hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski said they were harassed by Enquirer reporters after they criticized Trump on Morning Joe.
President Obama, Hillary Clinton, and Michelle Obama have all been fodder for fake news stories on the cover of American Media’s magazines.
The Trump presidency continues to break new ground in its unpopularity. Voters are beginning to show up at the ballot box to show that his popular vote loss was not a fluke, but rather the sentiment of the country.
But his media allies continue to plumb the depths of depravity, even defending pedophilia, in order to help him to hold on to power. There is no length that they will not go to in his defense, demonstrating the cult of personality Trump and his leadership style have built.
